His work as a painter began in 1910-11 after meeting the artists Aldo Carpi and Louis Cavalieri, by the time abandoned the Faculty of Engineering of Pavia and his debut, in 1911, with a staff Ganna, in the province of Varese, marking the beginning of a career Art studded with appearances at the Venice Biennale, the Permanente in Milan and Turin Quadrennial.
