His work as a painter began in 1910-11 after meeting the artists Aldo Carpi and Louis Cavalieri, by the time abandoned the Faculty of Engineering of Pavia and his debut, in 1911, with a staff Ganna, in the province of Varese, marking the beginning of a career Art studded with appearances at the Venice Biennale, the Permanente in Milan and Turin Quadrennial. His paintings of landscapes and still life won numerous awards and concern the pen of renowned critics.
